Power of Green Flash
A fleeting miracle appearing on the horizon: the green flash. A green flash is a natural phenomenon in which, for a brief moment at sunrise or sunset, sunlight is refracted and dispersed by Earth's atmosphere, causing vivid green light to appear. It is a rare sight that can be encountered only when multiple conditions come together, such as clear air and an unobstructed view extending far across the horizon.
That momentary flash is expressed in a vivid green extending outward from the center of the dial. By adopting a structural color film*, we created a luminous sense of depth whose appearance changes depending on the viewing angle.
The sapphire bezel ring features a dark green vapor deposition, a first for ATTESA. Radial lines are applied to the reverse side of the sapphire glass, and vapor deposition is layered over them, reflecting the fleeting light emitted by the green flash in the bezel ring as well.
As accent colors, the indices and date-window frame feature a yellow-gold color that harmonizes with the green, while the bezel employs DURATECT Amber Yellow. These elements add glamour to the vivid green radiance, creating a luxurious presence that combines strength and dignity.
* Structural color film is characterized by the various appearances and hues that emerge when light reflects off the microscopic structures within the ink layer, rather than from coloration by pigments.
Power of Purple Aurora
A purple aurora shimmering in the darkness of night for an instant. A purple aurora is an extremely rare natural phenomenon among auroras, appearing as a result of powerful solar activity. When energy arriving from the Sun reacts intensely with Earth's magnetic field, fantastical light is created, dyeing the frigid night sky purple.
That mysterious and powerful spectacle is expressed on a jet-black dial. Three-dimensional printing depicts light shimmering as though it were stirring within the darkness, creating a distinctive, dimensional appearance.
The sub dial features a structural color film. Depending on the viewing angle, light shifting from purple to blue shimmers across it, reflecting the fantastical radiance of the purple aurora.
The sapphire bezel ring features a gradient vapor deposition transitioning from purple to blue, while the city names receive pink-gold-colored vapor deposition, creating a richly expressive finish in which shifting colors and delicate sparkle resonate with one another. The bezel employs DURATECT Pink. The purple's fantastical radiance is layered with the lustrous nuance of pink-gold color, creating a luxurious presence that combines bewitching allure with strength.
