A humorous and imaginative piece handcrafted at the manufacture, the Frederique Constant Boutique Tokyo Special Model "Slimline Moon Phase Date Manufacture" is being unveiled.
Frederique Constant is a true Swiss watch manufacture that produces its own movements and assembles its watches by hand. However, the fact that the maison's timepieces are assembled by hand is not widely known. Thus, this model was born from a request to find a way to communicate a message to the French artist seconde/seconde/, known for his uniquely captivating expressive style.
This watch expresses a playful new design that bursts with humor and imagination, incorporating elements like a hand-painted logo and date display, and a moon phase disk featuring irregularly-shaped moons and stars, all of which convey the characteristic of "handcraft" in Frederique Constant manufacture watches through imperfect, human-like letters and designs that can only be expressed by hand.
The meticulously polished 42mm stainless steel case features a delicately shimmering matte silver dial and harmoniously combined moon phase and date hands. Additionally, through the transparent case back, one can visually appreciate the main plate decorated with perlage finishing, the bridges decorated with striped Côtes de Genève finishing, and the self-winding in-house caliber FC-705 with blue screws.
This model will be available exclusively at Frederique Constant Boutique Tokyo in Japan. Be sure to try it in-store.
