The delicate tie-dye patterns created by the unique technique of "tsutsumaki shibori" on ultra-thin washi evoke the ephemeral yet beautiful mist of the sky, making each piece one-of-a-kind. The beautiful Japan Blue paints a new expression.
Applying the ancient dyeing technique of "indigo dyeing" to Tosa washi, we challenged ourselves to express new patterns while ensuring the light transmittance required for Eco-Drive. The indigo-dyed washi dial, born from collaboration with the indigo dyeing workshop Watanabe’s in Tokushima Prefecture, changes its expression from chic to vibrant depending on how the light hits it.
Furthermore, based on the technique of "tsutsumaki shibori," each piece is hand-dyed by artisans, ensuring that no two patterns or color tones are the same, making it a true one-of-a-kind creation.
